What made this project specific
This restaurant overlooks Millennium Park in Chicago. The client wanted a more comfortable outdoor area while reducing exposure to harsh Chicago weather. Because the space is near Lake Michigan and on a rooftop, the project required careful engineering and several column-attachment approaches, including custom reinforcement to steel beams and through-column details to reduce deflection.
